Combatting Malnutrition in Tribal Hamlets in 18 months
Project Duration : 18 Months
890 Undocumented migrants from Chhattisgarh find shelter in the forests of Khammam in an effort to escape the cross fire of naxals and police on the border of Chhattisgarh.
As impatient optimists to tackle the malnutrition crisis in the tribal hamlets in question, Indigenous Development Organization has taken lead in the past couple of years to effect change and protect the women and children.

ASHAJYOTHI HOME FOR HANDICAPPED
Nurturing 75 Special Needs Children
Project Duration : 10 Years
Shelter, Food, Nutrition, Wheelchairs, Surgeries, Cows for Milk , Physiotherapy, Emergency Services to protect, nurture and save the special needs children in Hanuman Junction, Andhra Pradesh.
Project duration is from 2008 - 2018. More than 200 children have received support during this tenure and a million meals have been fed. Children with Cerebral Palsy, Speech and Hearing Impairment, Physical Challenges caused by Polio, Autism, Muscular Dystrophy were the beneficiaries.

CARE AND LOVE
Shelter Needs or Special Needs Orphans
Shelter Needs for more than 25 special needs abandoned children. The children are challenged with cerebral palsy and autism and other cognitive disadvantages and currently reside at Care and Love Home in Visakhapatnam. Founded by Hyma Patina who now serves on the Board for Save the Child Foundation as advisory for Global Health agendas.

CHARACTER FIRST INITIATIVE
Tackling Period Poverty in Rural Uganda
Save the Child Foundation sponsors more than 500 Girls every year in Uganda and in the past 4 years this has now created sustainable change for more than 2000 girls. Distribution is championed on menstrual hygiene day May 28th and followed by Advocacy and Awareness sessions for the Girls.

Project Baala is a social enterprise providing anyone who menstruates with affordable and reusable menstrual pads while normalising conversations about periods. It works with partners who can sponsor the costs of outreach and distribution drives at schools in India, and has held over 1,100 workshops all over India, and given out 900,000 reusable pads as of June 2022

The key performance indicator is to measure the days of productivity that can be recovered by enabling girls and women safely menstruate during their period cycle by providing them access to Disposable Bio degradable Pads like PARI PADS and sustainable and recommended alternatives like BAALA PADS and/or Menstrual Cups.

Aasraa Trust was established as a social work trust focusing on education of underprivileged children in 2009, in response to a crisis for intervention for the welfare of children from the riverbed slum under the Bindal bridge. Aasraa then worked with the river bed community to promote the need for education and started an after school project to augment school education
