In my limited interactions with more than 200 girl children on a single day I have realized that there is awareness to the degree that there are sanitary pads in the market that are available. It's the AFFORDABILITY which is a greater concern. What the girls are completely unaware is the aftermath of unhygienic practices of using rags to manage their periods.
So what makes these trips worthwhile is the opportunity to inspire the girls to find a purpose and creating an avenue to be vocal about their dreams, goals or even talk about the challenges at home or hostel.
If you are visiting India this summer and you are a Girl Child Rights Advocate , then you should send me an email right now to bring a difference in one girl child or a thousand girls.
